I've got wax in my ears!

Well, maybe not actually in my ears, but definitely up to them. We've been cranking out the candles and lotions this past week, getting ready for Steppin' Out in less than two weeks. All our new fixtures have come in; the new booth is going to be terrific!

We've also been making product for our new fall scents: for candles we've got Cranapple Chutney and Sweet Potato Spice; the latter has been making my mouth water all week. Our newest bath and body scent is Vanilla Sandalwood; this will be replacing our current Sandalwood fragrance. The vanilla makes it just a tad sweeter and smoother around the edges. We made some lotions over the weekend and were both swooning over the heady scent. Great for women and men.

Be on the lookout for our special Steppin' Out mailer this week with a special gift offer for our loyal friends and customers. We'll also be sending out an e-mail announcement with special deals for those who can't make it to the festival. We can't wait! :-)

Yay! I'm a blogger!

I've decided to join the craze and start a weblog to chronicle the comings and goings at the Crooked Mile (aka the Ritenour Ranch). We'll include business updates, personal tidbits and fun pictures along the way.

I'd like to kick off by saying thanks to all our family and friends who've supported us so much through the first year of our business. It's done better than we anticipated and we're working on taking it to the next level after this busy holiday season (yes, those of us in retail have to actually start thinking about the holidays NOW). We'll be adding some new products and have some other exciting changes in store.
